Dear Prayer friends,
We're well and truly halfway through Events Week, and we've had some
wonderful feedback from the last couple days! Conversations are flowing
freely, and Jesus is really shining through all of us. We are so grateful to all our
speakers who are sharing their stories and the love and truth of Jesus to
everyone.
Today's talks were about struggling, and where God is in the darkness, and
moments of hopelessness. Today, we're looking at finding hope with God in
those moments.
As I've chatted to so many people over the past couple of days, and it has
been so encouraging to hear the testimonies that people have. One that really
stuck with me, is where a friend of one of our CU members had been previously
against the idea of faith, and wasn't interested in anyway, which can be quite
difficult to hear and deal with as a Christian friend! But God really is amazing -
this friend, then came to one of the Events Week talks by their own volition, and when asked, said that their friend "had changed their perception on faith." I was
so encouraged by this, because it just shows how God really can work and
change people's hearts; even when it looks like there is nothing happening.
Please keep praying for student's hearts to be softened and turned
around so they can see the truth and light of Jesus. Also, please keep praying
for those of us who are running around to keep everything running smoothly!
We know God is with us this week, and He continually provides us with
strength. Pray for our confidence to talk to our friends, classmates,
housemates and those who are on our hearts to bring to Jesus. The past
couple days have been filled with great conversations, so we're just praying
that they continue and Jesus' words root into people's lives and hearts.
Yours in Christ,
Ruta at RUCU
