January has come and gone again, and with it, our Missions Week! This year, our theme was GOOD NEWS, which we thought was appropriate given all the bad news that we see in the media day in and day out. It can be difficult to live and study in a world that's constantly belching out stories about poverty, war, disease, injustice so we wanted to share what our good news is; the hope we have in Christ Jesus! He is the best news any of us have received!

Unfortunately, we weren't able to send out our daily prayer letters during this week, but God has still been so faithful and as always it has been so incredible and encouraging to see how He moved on campus.

We had three daily talks, all accompanied by a free café, and free food (which certainly was an incentive for people!) and we had many conversations about what Good News can look like for us in different moments in our lives; when we feel like a failure, when we feel unforgiven, when we feel hopeless about the future. Our evening speaker, Michael Ots did a wonderful job in bringing these topics to life and sharing Jesus with the people coming to our events.

We will be starting the Alpha course after this week, and it will be running every Tuesday evening. We would love for prayer during these evenings, and as we focus on follow up with the people we met and the conversations we had, prayer that the words of Jesus take root in people's hearts and they continue to explore faith and meet with Jesus.

Thank you for all your support and prayers during this week! It can be long and tiring, but God filled us with such joy and passion for His Kingdom! We're so excited to see how God will use this week to enter into people's lives.

Yours in Christ,

Rūta at RUCU

"For this is what the Lord has commanded us: 'I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.' "
